Prominent Warri Chief and arrowhead of the respected Ologbotsere Descendants of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayirimi Emami, says the Ologbotsere family in particular and Itsekiri Nation in general, have lost two important personalities and elders with integrity; Late Pa William L. A. Anukun and most recently, Pa Samuel B. Odia Okorodudu.

Chief Emami, spoke Tuesday January 2, when he led some members of the Ologbotsere family and personal associates on a condolence visit to the Okorodudus in Warri, following the passage of Pa. Samuel Okorodudu. Pa Okorodudu, who was the head of Omagene Family stock of Ologbotsere Descendants, died November 21, 2023 at the age of 83.

Apparently saddened by the demise of Pa Samuel Okorodudu, Chief Emami who spoke in emotion - laden voice (in Itsekiri Language) recalled how late Pa Samuel Okorodudu, the former Secretary - General of Ologbotsere Descendants, late Pa William Anukun and other elders of Ologbotsere Descendants, came to his house years ago and told him that he was their choice for the prestigious Ologbotsere title.

He said the elders told him, he was chosen for speaking the truth always, apart from his paternal Ologbotsere heritage.

" I said this visit, would be my first outing for the year ( 2024). We know Late Pa Samuel Okorodudu was from Abigborodo Community, but his death, is a big loss to Ologbotsere Descendants. We will do the burial in a honourable way, by supporting the Omagene Family stock. It must be said that as nice as Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, the problem of Itsekiri Nation today, was the failure of a prominent Abigborodo son to give proper leadership, when it mattered most," Chief Emami, averred.

Spokesman of Ologbotsere Descendants, Mr. Alex Eyengho, Warri based legal practitioner and promoter of Itsekiri cultural heritage, Barr. Clement Ade Omotoye as well as an Ologbotsere Descendant, Besidone Esimaje, were among those that accompanied Chief Ayirimi Emami on the condolence visit.
