Omatseye solicits support to actualize Ijaghala concrete jetty project listed in  Delta  Government 2024 budget

The Chairman of Ijaghala Community Management Committee, ICMC in Warri South - West Local Government Area of Delta State, Capt. David Omatseye, has solicited the support of indigenes of Ijaghala and other critical stakeholders, to actualize the Ijaghala concrete landing jetty project listed in the 2024 budget of Delta state government.                              

 

Fresh Angle International, can report that Capt. Omatseye made the appeal at Ijaghala Community Town Hall, Thursday January 4, during the 2024 edition of Ijaghala Day/ Congress.                          

 

The ICMC Chairman, who spoke in an atmosphere of unforgettable camaraderie, mentioned renewal of Ijaghala community damaged water supply lines, replacement of the water tanks with new ones, refurbishment of the electricity generator servicing the community, completion of electrical conduit work on the town hall, replacement of the community gear switch with higher amps, mobilization of Ijaghala youths to clear Ijaghala - Oporoza Link Road, completion (these achievements were through personal donations as financial resources are scarcely available to the Community), commissioning of 4 units of 2 - bedroom Housing units executed by Itsekiri Regional Development Committee, IRDC, repair of wooden bridge across the Utoro creek Wharf road, replacement of failed/ broken electric poles and full participation of Ugborodo at Ghigho Aghofen / Olu of Warri Palace watch, as some of the achievements of his leadership in the year 2023.              

 

He thanked the Council of Elders, members of his executive team, youth and members of the community for their unalloyed cooperation that accounted for the great feat recorded in the immediate past year.

Capt. Omatseye used the opportunity to solicit more of their unwavering support to move the community far ahead in many strides.

 

Speaking to newsmen at the event, the community helmsman thanked God for giving him men, women and youths with a passion for development to steer the ship of the town in very encouraging direction. 

 

Capt. Omatseye, assured of more landmark projects in the community in the new year and enjoined all members of the community to roll up their sleeves in the flurry of activities to be witnessed in year 2024.

 

Also speaking, a prominent leader, Chief Samuel Eyengho as well as the Women Leader of the community, commended the community executive management for recording huge feats within the period, while encouraging them to up the ante in the infrastructural transformation of the community.

 

Highpoints of the event were the presentation of the yearly statutory and financial reports to Congress as well as unveiling of plans ahead for the year 2024.
