The Olu of Warri Palace Liaison to Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Prince Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, has felicitated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Supreme Court, saying Governor Oborevwori, “can now focus squarely on delivering the M.O.R.E Agenda, especially to the coastal communities.”
In a unanimous decision, a five-member panel of the apex court, this morning, Friday January 19, dismissed an appeal the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, filed to challenge the outcome of the governorship election, held in the state on March 18, 2023.
Edema in a swift reaction, told Fresh Angle International via telephone: “The Judgement of the Apex Court, has once again re-affirmed the mandate that Deltans overwhelmingly gave His Excellency on the March 2023 Gubernatorial elections. This victory today is for all Deltans.
“With this victory our beloved Governor can now focus squarely on delivering the more agenda especially to the coastal communities of Delta State, which have not been given the attention it deserves for being the goose that lays the golden egg.
“We will work closely with the Delta State Government in ensuring that our Coastal Communities, particularly those that are oil producing get the necessary attention, especially with the biting effect of inflation and high cost of PMS (as a result of the removal of subsidy).”
