Tantita Surveillance Job Slots: Akiuyatsemi, Omatseye, others, didn’t speak for Uwakeno - Says Uwatse, Tenumah

The Vice Chairman and Secretary of Uwakeno Community Trust, Messrs. Godwin Okini Uwatse and Mr. Slyvester Jones O. Tenumah, respectively, say the claim by Pa. David Olumami Akiuyatsemi, Dr. Felix Omatseye, Mr. Joseph Mabamije and Mr. Emmanuel Afortan that Uwakeno Community have not been allocated slots for the safeguard/ protection of oil and gas pipelines in Uwakeno by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, is false and malicious.

Messrs. Godwin Okini Uwatse and Mr. Slyvester Jones .O. Tenumah, in an electronic statement sent to Fresh Angle International this morning, Wednesday January 24, averred: “Let it be known that Pa. David Olumami Akiuyatsemi, Dr. Felix Omatseye and others with them are not speaking for Uwakeno community in this regard as they do not have the backing or support of members of the community to do so.”

The statement further noted: “The attention of members of Uwakeno Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, has been drawn to a false, misleading and outright deceitful publication in the Fresh Angle News platform as contained in the write-up authored by one Hitter Preye - Bela.

“It is incredible and unbelievable the extent to which people can go to achieve selfish, parochial and personal interest, even at the expense of other members of their community and to the detriment of the interest of the community itself. It may interest the reading public to know that at a meeting held at Oporoza, the Headquarters of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited on the 5th day January 2024, which had the Chief Executive and other Officials of the security service outfit in attendance with communities mostly under the OML 150 field and some

others, Job slots were allotted to various communities.

“Interestingly Dr. Felix Omatseye and his co-travels were in attendance at that meeting where job slots were allotted to the communities as follows:-

1. Obodo Community got 45 slots

2. Jaluwa/ Ugbukoko/ Aghigho Communities together got 30 slots

3. Otumara Community got 15 slots.

4. Uwakeno Community got 45 slots

“These are verifiable and ascertainable facts as the allotments were not done in secret, but openly at the meeting.

“Surprisingly the same people who never raised any objection or complaint at the meeting have now turned around to claim shamelessly that Uwakeno Community was not given any job slot.

“This type of false and misleading publication is capable of causing acrimony and breach of the peace in the community as well as bad blood and mistrust of the community leadership by the management of Tantita Security Service Nigeria Limited and other communities.

“We therefore implore the management and staff of Tantita Security Service Nigeria Limited and the General Public to ignore and disregard the said publication and the purported letter to Mr. President, as same was done in utmost bad faith borne out of greed and selfish ambition.”
