A 21 - year old boy, whose father's name is Ewowo, was Sunday night clubbed to death in Warri, Delta state, for declaring that host country, Ivory Coast, would defeat Nigeria in the AfCON 2023 finals.
Though details of the unfortunate incident was very sketchy as at the time of this report, it was gathered that the incident happened at the Ekurede Itsekiri Community in Warri.
It was learnt that some elderly young men in the community, who were angry with the prediction, pounced on him heavily and clubbed the 21 - year boy, until he became unconscious and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he allegedly died at about 2:00 am Monday February 12.
Those allegedly responsible for the gory act, immediately fled from the community in Warri South Local Government Area to an Itsekiri Community in Warri South - West Local Government Area in Delta state.
