Police, Military rescue 16 kidnapped victims in Kogi


A joint operations of the Nigeria Police and the Military have rescued 16 kidnapped victims in Kogi State.

 

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) SP William Ovye Aya disclosed this in a statement made available to Journalists on Monday.

 

Aya disclosed that, eleven passengers from Peace Mass Transit Bus and five others from a Sienna Bus along Ette Enugu Ezike road where taken to the bush on 25Th February 2024 by suspected kidnappers.

 

He said "The Joint Kogi Police and Military team from Enugu State promptly swung into action trailed and Rescued all the victims from the bush unhurt. Efforts is ongoing to apprehend the suspects and bringing them to deserved justice".

 

Aya added that, the Commissioner of Police in  Kogi State Bethrand Onuoha while commending the Joint security team, reiterates the Command's unwavering determination to sustain the ongoing onslaught against criminalities in the State. 

 

He appealed to the good people of the State for their continue Collaboration with the Police and other Security Agencies in ensuring adequate security of lives and property.
