Ex-Warri South Chairman, Mofe Edema inters mother March 23
Late Mama Newe Urowoli Emami


Former two-time Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area and member of Delta State Waste Management Board, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, will on Saturday March 23, inter his 109-year old mother, Mama Newe Urowoli Emami.

Recall that Madam Newe Emami, arguably the oldest person in Warri Kingdom, transited to the world beyond December 22, 2023.                              

The late Madam Newe Emami, was also mother to Prince Stanley Emiko (Snr.) and Aunt to prominent Warri Chief and renowned politician, Chief Ayirimi Emami.

According to the burial activities released by the Families of Emami-Otiri of Obaghoro, Warri North Local Government Area and Okere, Warri South Local Government Area, Olueh -Elowe of Ugborodo, Miemie-Ayogbe of Kantu, both of Warri South-West Local Government Area as well as Tawasa of Okwagbe, Ughelli South Local Government Area, all of Delta State, the late Mama Newe Urowoli Emami, will be interred at her residence, Aritetsoma Street, Ajamimogha, Warri.

The burial activities as signed by Pa. Jolomi Otiri, for the family and Mrs. Mary Kehinde Clarke, for the children, are as follows:

4.30-6:30pm – Praise Day

@Aritetsoma Street, Ajamimogha Warri

“Saturday 23rd march 2024

7:00am – Corpse Departs safe Heaven Mortuary Services, Plot 2 Eyiangho Street of Aruoture Okumagba Layout, Warri

“10:00am – Body Proceeds from her family Compound, 12 Idimi-Jakpa Qaurters Okere Warri to her Residence, Aritetsoma Street, Ajamimogha Warri, for interment

“12:00 Noon: Entertainment of Guest at Atuwatse II Primary School (Rice Farm) Esisi Riad, Okere, Warri.

“Friday 29th March – Thursday 4th April, 2024

Traditional Rites at her family compound, 12 Idimijakpa Okere, Warri.”
