Don’t act on ill-advice, irresponsible propaganda, Delta CP cautions Sahara Reporters
CP Zanna M. Ibrahim

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP. Zanna M. Ibrahim has hit hard on popular online medium, Sahara Reporters, describing the portal’s report headlined, “Delta State Commissioner of Police Frees 2 Policemen Arrested for Kidnapping”, as “ill-advised and irresponsible propaganda calculated to cause mischief.”

In a statement released Thursday November 10 and made available to Fresh Angle International Friday November 11, the Police Commissioner noted that the two Police Officers allegedly involved in kidnapping are in “police custody for professional misconduct of illegal duty for which they are already facing disciplinary action”, wondering why Sahara Reporters contacted the Delta State “PPRO who was on annual leave at the time of the incident.”

According to the CP Zanna Ibrahim, the Officers allegedly involved in the crime “are being tried in Orderly Room at ‘B’ Division Asaba by CSP Dumnamara Gbarale” and “Mr. David Udubrae who allegedly contracted their services has testified in the Orderly Room proceedings, affirmed that he invited the policemen to arrest his friend, Umukoro Efe Daniel.”

While noting that Mr. Umukoro Efe Daniel has himself testified about the circumstances surrounding his illegal arrest by the Police Officers, CP Ibrahim recalled that on November 7, certain clarifications were made through press release in respect of the two policemen alleged to be involved in kidnapping.
