Sanitation: Delta government okays free movement due to Easter celebration

Delta state government says there will be no restriction of movement during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise slated for Saturday March 30.

A statement released this afternoon, Thursday March 28, explained that the decision to allow free movement of vehicles and persons during the environmental sanitation exercise holding between 7:00 am and 10:00 am, is due to the Easter celebration.

The statement, signed by the Director of Public Communication, Theresa Adiabua Oliko, noted :"The monthly environmental sanitation exercise for March 2024 will take place across Delta State on Saturday, March 30, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 am.

"During the exercise, there will be no restrictions on the movement of vehicles and persons due to the Easter Celebration.

"However, residents are advised to participate in sanitation exercises and are encouraged to rid their houses of rats to prevent the spread of Lassa Fever disease."
