Former governorship candidate of Mega Progressive People’s Party, MPPP in Delta State, Alaowei Afro Biukeme has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the Petroleum Minister, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke and her Niger Delta Ministry counterpart, Elder Godsday Orubebe for “not making any impact in the Niger Delta region”.
 
Alaowei Biukeme who is also the President of Niger Delta Coastal Communities in a press statement, accused the two ministers of not doing enough in terms of development and empowerment of the Niger Delta people as well as reneging on their promise of providing refineries in the riverine communities of the region.
 
The Niger Delta activist cum politician who dropped hint of his imminent decamping to the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN “since PDP cannot change Delta State”, appealed to radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram to drop their arms and exercise patience with President Jonathan.
According to him, President Jonathan has displayed his pan Nigerian disposition by appointing two people from the Northern part of the country as Group Managing Director of NNPC as well as National Security Adviser.
