An election timetable purportedly released Tuesday April 30, by Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, has been denied by staffers of the Commission, preferring not to be quoted.
The now controversial timetable credited to the Chairman of DSIEC, Sir Dr. R. J. A. Agbaike, had fixed the state local government council election for Saturday July 20, with directive for political parties to conduct their primaries to elect chairmanship and councillorship candidates between May 5 and May 19.
DSIEC was yet to openly refute the timetable as at 6:00 am today, May 1, when this report was published, just as a top PDP leader in the state who earlier hinted Fresh Angle International that the election timetable would be released Tuesday April 30, was shocked with the seeming denial of the unsigned election timetable circulating on social media platforms.
