Ahead of the July 13 Delta State Local Government election, PDP leaders and members in Bomadi Local Government Area, have adopted Hon. Dagidi Andaye as the party’s Chairmanship candidate for the local government.
Our Correspondent, reports that the move which reflects unity, strength and confidence, members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Bomadi Local Government Area, have in Hon. Dagidi Andaye, was reached during the party's primary held Saturday May 11.
The State Returning Officer, identified simply as Barr. Blessing, officially declared Hon. Andaye unopposed, highlighting Hon. Andaye’s long-standing commitment to the PDP and his profound ability to mobilize the grassroots for the party.

Fresh Angle International, gathered that leaders of the party, who were excited, applauded Hon. Andaye’s adoption and attributed it to his impeccable character and significant contributions to the party.
They maintained that Hon. Dagidi Andaye's nomination, stands as a testament to his proven leadership and extensive experience within the party.
Speaking on behalf of party leaders, Dr. Macauley Denghan, said the contest was competitive, yet there were no winners or losers—only a shared commitment to the party’s best interests.
He noted that it was unanimously agreed that Hon. Andaye's candidacy, symbolizes a winning choice for PDP in Bomadi Local Government Area.
According to Dr. Denghan, Hon. Andaye’s track record as a grassroots mobilizer and his previous role as Supervisor for Environment in the Council, underscore his experience to effectively represent the mandate of the communities in the Local Government Area, just as he urged all party faithful to respect the choice of Andaye.
The affirmation of Hon. Dagidi Andaye as the standard-bearer for PDP has reportedly garnered widespread support among party faithful, stakeholders and ward leaders.
They expressed confidence in Hon. Dagidi Andaye's ability to secure victory in the general election, emphasizing his sellable qualities and dedication to serving the people of Bomadi Local Government Area.

The atmosphere of the political gathering, was charged with enthusiasm and camaraderie. Sen. James Manager and Rt. Hon. Nicholas Mutu, along with other prominent figures, reportedly convened to discuss the forthcoming local government elections in the state, where Hon. Dagidi Andaye was unanimously adopted.
The spotlight also fell on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whose unwavering commitment to progress, resonated with everyone present at the meeting.
According to them, the governor’s developmental initiatives had left an indelible mark across the entire state and Bomadi Local Government Area, was no exception, saying one of the key highlights was the governor’s focus on inclusivity.
The leaders applauded Governor Oborevwori for appointing sons and daughters from every ward within Bomadi Local Government Area into positions of authority in his administration, recognizing their potential and dedication. This move, according to them, not only strengthened local representation, but also foster a sense of ownership among the residents.
In his acceptance speech, Dagidi Andaye expressed heartfelt gratitude, thanking Governor Oborevwori, for giving free hands to party leaders to choose candidates of their choice for the July 13 Council poll.
He said: “I must express my deep appreciation and thanks to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of the State. He has demonstrated leadership in the management of State affairs. The Governor, has shown his unwavering commitment towards the growth and stability of the party in the State”.
The chairmanship candidate also commended the state party chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso and the entire party leadership in Bomadi Local Government Area, for their role in throwing him up as the consensus chairmanship candidate of PDP in Bomadi Local Government Area.
Andaye, commended Dr. Denghan Macaulay, Hon. Pius Labo (DG Campaign Council), Elder Allen Egbegi, Dr. Barry Gbe (Economic Adviser SA to Gov Oborevwori), Hon. Funyei Manager and Commissioner Special Project, Elder Famous Ofurobiri, for standing by him, during the consultation period, saying their commitment and prayers would remain pillars of his administration, when elected.
