Warri South: Agbateyiniro assumes duty, requests detailed briefs from various departments

The new Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, on Tuesday July 16, assumed duty, requesting the Council’s Head of Personnel Management, Mr. Augustine Akaeze, to put machineries in motion for detailed briefings from the various Heads of Department.

Comrade Agbateyiniro, who was accompanied to the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri by friends and political associates, including some Aides to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, promised to immediately hit the ground running with his manifesto.

The Warri South Local Government Boss, assured staffers of Warri South Local Government Council, of his readiness to address their welfare needs and thanked leaders of PDP in the area for their support thus far, saying, “it's not been easy.”

He proclaimed: “The onus, is now on us to reciprocate all the good gestures bestowed on us. We will work with the Christian Associations. Positive things happen to me, because I go to church and serve God.”

The Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Mr. Augustine Akaeze, before performing the formal handover to the Warri South Chairman, Comrade Agbateyiniro, briefed him about the assets of the Council, highlighting challenges that needed to be addressed,

True to his promise, the Warri South Chief Executive, flanked by his Vice, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, political associates and aides, undertook a tour of Igbudu, Pessu and other major markets in Warri.

The Warri South Chairman, had disclosed during the handing over ceremony that he would set up committees, with a view to mitigating the sufferings of traders at Igbudu market, who were affected by the recent inferno in the market.
