The newly Leader of Warri North Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Hon. Kanu Duakpemi, has assured of fostering smooth Legislative -Executive relationship, saying it would ensure human capital development and economic competitiveness in the local government area.

Our Warri North Correspondent, reports that Hon. Duakpemi, also tasked other members of the council’s legislative arm, to work in unity, so as not to waste our legislative business.

According to Hon. Duakpemi, fruitful legislative business can only be achieved when the lawmakers constantly place patriotism above personal interest.

He averred: “We do not need strong personalities to grow our Council, but strong institutions and it behooves on us to support the executive in changing the face of Warri North.

“As the first institution of democracy, legislature must make sacrifices in the interest of the people and support the executive to enable it deliver the people's needs and aspiration, while at the same time maintaining its independence. Warri North is in a hurry to develop and this can only be achieved through Legislative Activism."
