This is a call to service - Warri South PDP Chairman, Pessu charges new ward executives of the party

The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Richard Pessu, has told members of the new ward executives of the party in the local government that their swearing-in, is a call to service. 

Our Correspondent, reports that Hon, Pessu gave the charge today, Thursday August 29, at the PDP Local Government Secretariat in Warri, Delta State, during the official swearing-in of the party’s ward chairmen and other exco members.

Hon. Pessu, who said the election and subsequent inauguration of the ward leadership, showed that they have been working for the party, tasked the new ward excos to keep the ball rolling, whilst being mindful of the economic situation in the country.

The PDP Chairman, who stated: “PDP has been winning and will continue to win, charged the executive members to use their position to revitalize the system at the ward level.”

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Weyinmi Agbateyiniro in a chat with newsmen, said: "To whom much is given, much is expected. They were elected, they were chosen from amongst the constituents in their various wards and that's as a result of the very high degree of confidence critical stakeholders have in them. 

"Now that the degree of confidence has been vested in them, it's expected that they conduct themselves in manner in which we have confidence in them. For me as an individual, I have confidence in all the executive that they will not betray the confidence that's vested in them. Off-course, I want to say a very big congratulations to all of them."

The Council Boss, also said the PDP umbrella is big enough to accommodate the interests of all its members, especially aggrieved members of the party. 

PDP Ward 1 Chairman for Obodo/Omadino&Ubeji, Comrade Allen Mayuku, thanked God Almighty for the opportunity given them to serve the party and commending leaders of PDP in his ward as well as the executive at the local government level. 

PDP Ward 6 Chairman, Kenneth George, in his acceptance speech on behalf of the Ward Chairmen, thanked the PDP leadership for finding them worthy of the position to serve in their various capacities for the party. 

He assured the PDP leadership that they will not disappoint them in the discharge of their duties, just as he said: "We will continue to work for the party and we also pray that when the dividends start coming, it should be shared accordingly to the wards as it ought to be."

Fresh Angle International, can report that Warri South PDP leader, Chief (Dr.) Joseph Sisanmi Otumara and Hon. Kenneth Efejuku, were among PDP leaders in Warri South Local Government Area, present during the ceremony.
