Foundation clears  medical bills of indigent patients in Delta hospital

A Non - Governmental Organisation, NGO, Raphael Biu Foundation, has cleared the medical bills of some Indigent patients at Central Hospital, Warri in Delta State.  

 

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that the gesture, was the hallmark of a medical outreach programme carried out by Raphael Biu Foundation in commemoration of the 40th birthday of its founder, held Saturday August 31.

Members of the foundation went to Central Hospital Warri, where they attended to several cases of patients that couldn't afford their medical bills, ranging from those on life support with oxygen, Dialysis, Cancer of the womb, RBG, preterm babies and diabetes, among other health challenges.

 

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Engr. (Dr.) Raphael Biu, said the medical outreach was the inaugural edition and they intend to do more humanitarian services frequently, to assist the less privileged and senior citizens in the society.

Member, Board of Trustee of Raphael Biu Foundation, Gabriel Ukuli, stated that the foundation was also focusing on empowering youths and widows, assuring that the medical outreach will be carried out quarterly to render support to people around the world , in order for them to have a meaningful life.

 

 

Mr. Ukuli, noted that the foundation was birthed out of the love for humanity, saying their target is impacting lives.

 

Joy Obukowho, Ajire Emmanuel and other beneficiaries, appreciated Raphael Biu Foundation and prayed for more provision to do more.

 

They were assisted in the coordination by the PRO of Central Hospital Warri, Uche Nwaedozie and Administrator Central Hospital Warri, Mrs.Omame Rose.
