The Elders Council of Ifiekporo Community in Warri South Local Government Area, has announced the indefinite suspension of Mr. Roland Gbejoro as member, accusing Mr. Gbejoro of lying to the community, “because of personal vendetta.”
The indefinite suspension, which was contained in a letter dated 3rd September, 2024 and addressed to Mr. Roland Gbejoro, was sent to the Fresh Angle International, today, Wednesday September 4.
The Elders Council of Ifiekporo Community, in the letter signed by the Olare-Aja, Pa George Mogbeyiteren, other Members of the Elders Council such as; Pa Michael Domino, Pa Jala Nami, Mr. Dele Nami, Pa Sunny Nikoro and Mr. Francis Eyifoma, stated inter-alia: “On the 6th of March 2024 and without permission/ consent/ approval from the Olare-Aja and other Members of the Elders, misled the Community with unfounded and fake information purportedly coming from the sacred Palace of the Olu of Warri Kingdom, which led to the suspension of the then Youth Chairman in the person of Comr. Special Bawo Agbeyi from his office as Youth Chairman of Ifiekporo Community and the unconstitutional excommunication of some Indigenes of Ifiekporo Community.
“After due investigation by the Community Executive, it was discovered that you lied to the Community, because of personal vendetta to achieve your sinister desires, hence the Community issued a letter dated 11' day March 2024, which reinstated Comr. Special Bawo Agbeyi to his Office and quashed the illegal order of excommunication.
“Your unfortunate actions of 6th March 2024 constituted serious threats to the peace, safety and sanctity of human lives in Ifiekporo Community and these actions of yours are squarely incompatible with your position as a Member of the Elders Council of Ifiekporo Community and also necessitated this resolution of suspension.”
They also alleged that Mr. Gbejoro, recently invaded a meeting of the Elders Council of Ifiekporo Community with some indigenes, hence he is “hereby instructed to return all properties of the Elders Council that are in your possession to the Olare-Aja of Ifiekporo Community.”
