Delta Beyond Oil: Uduaghan’s aide assures Warri youths of increased empowerment

Special Assistant to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on Special Duties, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru has assured youths in the state of plans by the state governor to continually provide increased empowerment for them in line with his vision of a Delta State beyond oil.
 
Mr. Matthew Opuoru dropped this hint weekend in Warri while playing host to hundreds of youths in the area. According to him, as part of the renewed plan by the state government to consolidate on youth empowerment, his office is finalizing strategy for the empowerment of 240 youths across the 12 wards in Warri South local government with a view to creating employment and generating wealth.
 
While thanking youths in the area for continually supporting Dr. Uduaghan, the governor’s aide explained that beneficiaries of the programme will include those who have been trained in mechanic, tailoring, welding and fabrication, hair dressing, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
 
He noted that technical materials will be provided for the beneficiaries to enable them kick-start their businesses, create wealth and subsequently generate employment in the area.
 
Mr. Opuoru advised political office holders to reach out to their people and appealed to the people at the grassroots, particularly Peoples Democratic Party faithful to be patient with the governor in his developmental strides.
 
Former member of Delta State Waste Management Board, Mr. Omimi Esquire, PDP Chairman, Warri South, Mr. Amah Agbajoh, President of National Youth Council, Delta State Chapter, Mr. Hope George, Immediate past Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Sunday Aguweye, Chairman of Okere-Urhobo Community Development Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Eminokanju were among PDP leaders that attended the ceremony.
