A father of nine children, identified simply as Mr. Charles, earlier today, Monday October 7, reportedly killed himself after drinking sniper.
Our Roving Correspondent, reports that the said Charles, who lived in Jeddo Community in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, drank the sniper at his Jeddo residence and went to Ugbokodo, his in-law’s place, where he died about 3:30pm.
Charles, who was member of Jeddo Community Vigilante, was said to have had argument with his wife, pleading with her not to leave him, but the wife allegedly refused his plea.
According to some indigenes, the deceased sold the house he (Mr. Charles) built with his wife (who birthed his nine children) and left with another woman for 5 years. After squandering the money, he came back pleading with his ex-wife to accept him back, but she refused, saying she's living with another man.
They allegedly said that the man told her (his ex-wife) that if she didn't accept him back, he will drink sniper and go to their family house to die.
