Opinion: A call to halt spreading the falsehood of Itsekiri money in the hands of some leaders

An urgent need to stop the spread of falsehood that Itsekiri money is in the hands of some leaders or some particular people leading to hatred, bitterness, Malice and unholy jealousy against each other.

The belief or the saying that a tribe money is in the hands of some few individuals to me is a fiction, unfounded/ unending story that is generational without a reliable source

Although this story has led to bad blood within the Itsekiri people group but from my experiences, it is an unfounded story.

The Itsekiri people that have invested their time, money into politics, business and careers and are benefiting from their huge investments should not be tagged as eating Itsekiri (the tribes) money or being in possession of same, rather, they should be appreciated, lobbed and encouraged to attract development both human, social and infrastructural to their people and areas with their vantage position of influence.

Any set of persons or groups of people investing their resources into the aforementioned Spheres of life should actually be seen as making their tribe famous and covering the gap for any tribe they hail from. The leadership of the tribe should close ranks with them and build synergy with them to develop the tribe 

Wishing of taking over leadership from leaders is good but is usually a gradual process and not name calling, stigmatizing, hatred, abused. In due time, leadership shall surely change hangs because nothing lasts forever in life but we must all know that we have a lot of things to learn from leaders, elders because of their experiences, even if the leaders or elders are not seen doing enough presently 

I will want us to stop destroying, hating, stigmatising ourselves , especially our leaders with the notion that they are with our tribes money, because the narrative is a Fiction which is not helping the tribe: we should rather be involved in constructive criticism to our successful kinsmen and encourage them to develop our people and land. We should imbibe the culture of love , forgiveness and open the channel of communication with both the leaders and leds to address our pressing challenges and great forum for exchange of ideas instead of internally destroying ourselves with name calling that we keep us in perpetual underdevelopment, stagnation,

Conclusion: Itsekiri money is with all of us and it is the responsibility of all of us both leaders and the leds to develop our people, and our land and to successfully achieve this, we need love, unity, good plans (specific agenda), forgiveness, accommodation of one another and tolerance . We have to stop the propaganda that Itsekiri money is with some people, it is a cheap blackmail for some weak people to assume power and taking over leadership is beyond that in any society
