“The Olare- Aja in Council” of Uwakeno Community in Warri South Local Government of Delta State, Pa. David Olumami Akiuyatsemi and Council of Elders of the community, have countered a publication by Fresh Angle International, saying at no time, was “Mr. Mayomi Boyitie(Boyetie)” appointed “Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the Uwakeno Community, neither does he hold the position of spokesperson for the Community nor any position in the Community.”
Fresh Angle International, had reported on Sunday November 17 that the leadership of Uwakeno Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, dismissed speculation that names of beneficiaries from the community in Olu of Warri empowerment scheme, were about to be replaced.
The report had referenced a statement credited to “the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Uwakeno Community, Mr. Mayomi Boyetie,” wherein, he was quoted to have stated: “We want to deeply appreciate His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, The Olu of Warri, for this rare economic lifeline and to also appreciate Mr. Collins Edema, for his critical role in the Palace job slots."
But in a statement sent to This Newspaper, today, Tuesday November 26, Pa. David Olumami Akiuyatsemi, noted: “The Olu of Warri Empowerment programme, put in various Communities, is made to assuage the living conditions of Elderly men and women in the Community amongst others and the Olare- Aja in Council, has submitted a list of names to that effect, any other list emanating or purporting to emanate from the said Mayomi Boyitie (Boyitie) and his cronies, is null and void and do not have the approval of the Olare- Aja in Council.
“The Co-coordinator of the Olu of Warri Empowerment scheme in the person of Hon. Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema, should also take note not to be misled as the proper constituted authority of the Uwakeno Communnity, is the Olare- Aja in Council and none other.
“The general public should also take note that Uwakeno Community is founded and owned by one family known as Osigidi family.”
