Feelers reaching Fresh Angle International, claimed that some Gbaramatu Ijaw youths, allegedly stormed Aja - Jelebe Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State at about 8:00am today, Tuesday December 3, with five speedboats and unleased mayhem on the returnee Aja - Jelebe indigenes.
The Chairman and Secretary of Aja - Jelebe Community, Mr. Joshua Ghereje and James Temienor, respectively, who spoke to This Newspaper, at about 11.50am, on telephone, alleged that structures recently constructed, were burnt down and several of their kinsmen, beaten, with one Collins Opopo being rushed to the hospital in Warri as at the time of this report.
Messrs. Ghereje and Temienor, also claimed that some of their brothers and sisters, had to run to the bush, saying the marauding Gbamaratu Ijaw youths declared that the land belongs to them, not Aja - Jelebe indigenes.
Recall that This Soaring International Digital Newspaper, had on Tuesday November 19, reported how indigenes of Aja – Jelebe, retuned to their community on Monday November 18, many years after the infamous Warri crisis, when the community was allegedly destroyed by neighbouring ethnic group.
Aja - Jelebe Community, is near to Ugbokoko and Ajasolor to the South and Akpata to the South – West.
