There is confusion over date for resumption of Unity Schools across the country, as fresh piece of information, appears to have withdrawn the initial circular which shifted resumption date to January 12.
The controversial circular released by the Federal Ministry of Education, which was dated December 30 and addressed to all Principals of Federal Unity Colleges, had shifted resumption date of unity schools from January 5 to January 12.
The circular, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. Nasir Sani – Gwazzo, claimed that the postponement, was “due to the ongoing renovation works in most of the FUCs (Federal Unity Colleges)."
However, fresh piece of information, sighted this afternoon, Tuesday December 31, by Fresh Angle International, noted: “The circular is to be withdrawn immediately. Resumption stands as earlier stated, 5th January 2025.
“Please this is the new directive from FME (Federal Ministry of Education). Kindly comply. We are deeply sorry for the inconveniences.”
