The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has revealed that it received 3.2 million applicants for its internship scheme targeted at 10,000 youths.
Fresh Angle International can report that the Commission made the revelation in a post on its X handle, Saturday January 4. Whilst assuring that the selection will be conducted transparently and fairly, the NDDC, emphasized its commitment to providing transformative opportunities that would impact the Niger Delta.
It noted: " In addition to the Youth Internship Scheme, the NDDC has launched several programmes, including the Holistic Opportunity Projects of Engagement (HOPE), which gathers data on youth qualifications and needs to tailor initiatives accordingly. The NDDC has partnered with KPMG to enhance its governance and accountability, ensuring ethical practices in its operations.
"As the selection process wraps up, the NDDC calls for patience from stakeholders, affirming its dedication to creating a brighter future through innovation and empowerment for the youth of the Niger Delta region."
