Agbateyiniro signs WSLGA Property and Investment Development Bill into Law, inaugurates Board to drive rural development
Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, inking the Warri South Local Government Area Property and Investment Development Bill into Law


The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, on Thursday January 9, further advanced his resolve to accelerate infrastructural development of the rural and riverine parts of Warri South Local Government, with the signing of Warri South Local Government Area Property and Investment Development Bill into Law.

 

 

The Warri South Local Government Chief Executive, inked the Bill in the presence of the Vice Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr, Emmanuel Nunu, some Supervisors of the Council, Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Remi Omatsuli, Treasurer to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Ugborugbo Moses, other Heads of Department of the Council, the Chairman of Warri Investment Development Committee, Barr. Tsewo Edema, the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Warri South Chapter, Comr, Raymond Emiko, the Warri South Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor (Dr.) John Ojopagogo and other relevant stakeholders.

Comr. Agbateyiniro, who also inaugurated Warri South Local Government Area Property and Investment Development Board, explained: “The By-law for Warri South Local Government Area Property and Investment Development, will help us to establish an organ of government at this local government, which will help manage our properties, our investments and developmental needs.”

He added: “Like we promised in the manifesto of our M.O.R.E Grace Agenda, we are going to replicate what we have in Banana Island here in Warri South.

“History is about to be made. If not for God, all these will not happen. People have been saying local government councils can’t do anything. We want to prove that local government council can do it.”

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area Property and Investment Development Board, Barr. Tsewo Edema, while responding on behalf of members of the Board, stated: “We will work, while you (Comr. Agbateyiniro) sleep, we will work, while you (Comr. Agbateyiniro) are working and we will ensure that your dreams are put into fruition.

“This project is not all about the buildings or the bridge, it is about transforming Warri to make it our Warri. We want to have affordable buildings, so that those working in Council and others, would be able to have their own houses.”
