Multisub Energy activates PIA with commissioning of projects in Delta Communities

An Indigenous Oil and Gas exploration and production company, Multisub Energy Limited, has activated the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA with the commissioning of key infrastructural projects at Eghoro as well as Ikeyangbene and Safa/Ogbin bloc of communities in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

 

 

Our Principal Correspondent, reports that the projects which were commissioned Thursday March 20, included 50 desks for students, other educational learning facilities at Abokunwa Primary School and 120-meter walkway at Eghoro Community as well as 70 Solar Powered Street lights to illuminate Ikeyan and Safa/Ogbin bloc of communities.

In his remarks, the Chairman and Managing Director of Multisub Energy Limited, Dr. Igho Okotete, described commissioning of the inaugural projects of Olure Host Communities' Development Trust, OHCDT as inspiring, saying it demonstrates how the Olure Host Communities’ Development Trust, has developed since inauguration of its Board of Trustees on July 5, 2024 and the subsequent inauguration of its Management and Advisory Committees.

According to him, commissioning the first set of projects by the Olure Host Communities’ Development Trust, was testament to the dedication and diligence of OHCDT in handling the affairs of the stakeholders.

Dr. Okotete, who was represented by the Executive Director, Strategy & Planning, Multisub Energy Limited, Mr Tega Okotete, noted that the quick impact projects, addressed critical needs in the host communities.

Dr. Okotete, explained: "Multisub Energy Limited, is an indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company, operating the Olure Field, PPL - 218. But beyond business operations, we are committed to making meaningful impact in the communities, where we operate, through job creation, capacity building and funding for the implementation of the Olure Host Communities’ Development Trust, OHCDT.

"These projects are a product of collaboration and I would like to commend the Multisub Team, the Olure HCDT Team and our host communities, for their dedication in ensuring the success of these initiatives.

The Chief Executive of Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, in his remarks, appreciated Multisub Energy Limited for the epoch-making event, which signifies that the company and its host communities, are working in harmony.

Engr. Komolafe, who was represented by the Manager HSE/C, Mrs. Akpojisheri Felicia, added that the projects inaugurated are more than physical, saying there are beacon of hope and symbol of progress.

The NUPRC Boss, urged the company and its host communities, to sustain the collaboration, in order to guarantee peaceful and secure environment, even as he assured Multisub Energy of the Commission’s support.

The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ashima, who was the Special Guest of Honour, commended Multisub Energy Limited for their commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development in Warri North Local Government Area.

He described the projects commissioned as testament to the company’s dedication to improving lives of the people.

Hon. Ashima hailed Multisub Energy Limited, for partnering Warri North Council in identifying and addressing the pressing needs of the people, adding that the collaboration demonstrates the power of collective effort in driving meaningful development and progress.

The Warri North Council Boss, charged host communities and beneficiaries to take ownership of the projects and ensure their maintenance.

Hon. Ashima assured Multisub Energy Limited of sustained peaceful environment, encouraging the company to attract more investment to Warri North Local Government Area.

Moses Donyebi, the Councillor Representing Eghoro Ward in Warri North Council Legislative Arm, Hon. Friday Oyibo, Head Teacher of Abokunwa Primary School, Ovie Eruewu and others, commended Multisub Energy Limited for the projects.
