Itsekiri Rights' advocate and leader in Omadino Federated Communities of Warri Federal Constituency, Oritseweyinmi Emmanuel Agbonekuya Aginejuone, has called on the Spokesman of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Godspower Gbenekama to justify his claim that Gbaramatu is an ancient kingdom, challenging Gbenekama to mention previous kings in the kingdom, " particularly the identity of Oboro Gbaraun I, if any ever existed."
Aginejuone, who spoke in reaction to a video of High Chief Gbenekama, which circulated widely on social media weekend, said Gbenekama can't force anyone to be part of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
He asserted: "You can't force someone to be part of Gbaramatu kingdom, created by former governor Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan,who is an Itsekiri man.
"You said that your king is so and so the II, when you have not gotten the 1.
"I challenge you ( Gbenekama) to quote the spiritual 1 of Gbaramatu.
"Omadino community has no bearing with Ijaw.
"We are Itsekiri (Iwere) not Ijaw as you claimed sir.
" You are talking, not because you have something to say, but you like to talk for talk sake.
"Omadino Community own what you call Gbaramatu kingdom, which your forbears agree to in a consent judgment.
" Omadino, is never an Ijaw community.
" Don't you know that the land you are talking about is litigation closed?.
" We don't have Itsekiri kingdom, BUT WARRI KINGDOM ."
