Publisher of Warri Voice Newspaper, Mr. Femi Odonmeta has urged the Federal Government to split the pipeline contract surveillance awarded to Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo into three equal parts and award it to three different contractors of Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobos ethnicities.
Mr. Odonmeta who spoke to newsmen in Warri recently, revealed that each of the contractors will be mandated to guide the pipeline job passing through their territory.
He accused Tompolo of using the money realized from the contract in annexing some Itsekiri Communities and creating illegal wards in favour of the Ijaws.
While acknowledging the giant strides of Chief Ayiri Emami, Chief (Barr.) Robinson Ariyo and a host of others in standing firm for Itsekiri course, Mr. Odonmeta called on other Itsekiri like the member representing Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Hon. (Dr.) Godwin Ebosa, Hon. Evang. Michael Diden alias Ejele, Hon. David Tonwe, Mr. Tuoyo Omatsuli and others to speak up.
“Do not wait till Tompolo will come and annex your village before you react” Mr. Odonmeta added.
