A book which reportedly captures the inside story, intrigues and power-play that “dominated the ascension rites” of “the 21st Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR” will be launched Tuesday, August 19 by 12 noon at Aghofen, Olu Palace, Warri, Fresh Angle International, has gathered.
Findings by This Pioneer Niger Delta Online Newspaper, revealed that author of the book to be launched August 19, Barrister Toritseju Emmanuel Emiko, also penned “THE EMERGENCE OF HIS MAJESTY, OGIAME IKENWOLI as the 20th Olu of Warri; and ITSEKIRI ROYAL INTERMENT: ATUWATSE II EXEMPLUM.”
The book launch, is part of the programme of events commemorating the 4th Coronation Anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and promises to be an exciting celebration of literature, history and culture.
Barrister Toritseju Emmanuel Emiko, was born to late Prince Edwin Oritsenokan Oghenovo Emiko and Late Mrs. Oritsegbubemi Emiko (nee Omamarah) of Warri North and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State respectively.
He had his first stint of working experience in Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Warri, in 1978 and later joined United Bank for Africa PLC, where he worked in various capacities in different branches in Delta and Lagos States, between 1981 & 1998 and rose to the post of Assistant Manager.
Between 1999 and 2002, he was in active legal practice with Emiko & Associates at No. 29, Okere Road, Warri. In between this period, he took up an appointment briefly with a French Company (GL MARINE LTD) as Personnel/Admin. Manager.
