The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Warri South Council Chapter, says Comrade Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, has demonstrated people - driven governance in his first year as Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area.
The Union in a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Raymond Emiko and made available to newsmen in Warri, Monday July 14, noted that Comrade Agbateyiniro's administration has placed premium on educational - support programmes, empowerment of market traders, the aged, people living with disabilities and youth development initiatives.
According to NULGE, Comrade Agbateyiniro's deliberate policy of opening up major markets in Warri to increased investments, through construction of internal roads, provision of solar - powered lights, adequate security, reconstruction of burnt shops and provision of other basic amenities, are testament to an administration that prioritise the needs of people in the grassroots.
Emiko, asserted that the Agbateyiniro administration sees the workforce in Warri South Local Government Council as partners in progress.
He added:" Governor Oborevwori's recent declaration in Warri, urging other local government chairmen in the state to emulate Comrade Agbateyiniro, speaks to the strategic and exceptional governance qualities of Comrade Agbateyiniro."
The union leader, assured the Council Boss of the workers' determination to continually implement the policies of the administration in the most professional manner.
