He garnered 326 in the UTME mock held April 10, scoring 96, 94, 71 and 65 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English respectively.
Recall that the Head of WAEC National Office in Nigeria, Dr. Amos Dangut, while announcing the results of the 2025 WASSCE at a press briefing in Lagos, Monday August 4, revealed that 38.32 per cent of the 1,969,313 candidates who sat for the examination obtained credits and above in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
According to Dr. Dangut, the result marks a sharp decline of 33.8 per cent compared to the 72.12 per cent recorded in the 2024 WASSCE.
Dangut said the drop followed the introduction of stricter examination protocols designed to curb malpractice.
“The drop in performance can be attributed to new anti-malpractice measures, including the serialisation of objective papers in key subjects, which made collusion and cheating more difficult,” he said.
