An Itsekiri youth activist, Comr. Ogbegbe Misan, has cautioned members of Warri Youth Council, WYC, against sabotaging what he described as ongoing engagement with Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
Ogbegbe, spoke in reaction to a report published by Fresh Angle International, early Thursday August 7, wherein WYC called on President Bola Tinubu to sack Dr. Otuaro as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, over alleged bias and nepotism.
According to Ogbegbe, those behind Warri Youth Council, ought to have consulted widely before issuing the press statement, “because the PAP Boss, Dr. Otuaro, was already working with prominent Itsekiri leaders to address the perceived marginalization of Itsekiri Nation in the Presidential Amnesty Programme.”
He asserted: “I am calling on Itsekiri youths to be calm, particularly the Itsekiri ex-agitators from the third phase, who have been reportedly excluded in the ongoing Leadership Training for Ex-agitators of Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. I’m optimistic that with the ongoing engagement of Dr. Otuaro by some of our leaders, our concerns would be treated shortly.”
