Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri clan in Warri South - West local government area of Delta State , says the community remains the rightful host to Kalm Marine Petroleum Services.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the community chairman, Mr Alex Ebi Fenimine and the Secretary, Mr Anthony Ikpelagha and presented to Newsmen during a press briefing to refute claim of ownership of the operational base of Kalm marine Petroleum services by the Izansa/ Ijelejele / Ikeremor community in Ogbe-ijoh.
Chairman of Ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri clan, Mr Alex Ebi Fenimine and other leaders of the communities while reacting to a press briefing by Izansa/ Ijelejele / Ikeremor community led by one Chief Akoubodo asked them to disassociate themselves from ownership of the land operated by Kalm marine and petroleum services as the land belongs to Ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri.
The ogbanabou leaders added that they will not cede any portion of their land to Izansa/Ijelejele/Ikeremor community.
The Ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri revealed that Izansa,/ Ijelejele/ Ikeremor community is localed at over 200 kilometers away from Ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri where Kalm marine is based and wonder why they decided to claim host community to the company .
They advised the management of the company to pull out of any agreement entered with Izansa /IJelejele/ Ikeremor community for them to continue to operate smoothly to avoid a possible shut down of their operations in Ogbanabou communal Iand.
The leaders of Ogbanabou stated that the ultimatum given to Kalm marine and Petroleum services during a peaceful protest dated 26 June 2025 to meet up with their corporate social responsibilities with ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri still stands .
They asked the company to be committed to the implementation of the Petroleum industry Act PIA with Ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri.which is among their earlier demand in the peaceful protest .
Others who spoke during the Press briefing include a leader of ogbanabou federated Communities-Diebiri Dickson Ogugu an engineer, Chief Jacob Nadifa, ,Chief Joseph Igbelegbele, Elder Smart Nadifa and Mrs Onome Amalade advised the company to deal solely with the executive of the community led by Mr Alex Fenimine for peace to continue to reign.
They appealed to the state Government to intervene on the matter to avoid possible crisis among the two communities.
