Oka-Useni, wins 2025 Olu of Warri Community Peace Cup

Oka-Useni Community in Ikpoba-Okah Local Government Area of Edo State, has won the 2025 Olu of Warri Community Peace Cup, defeating fellow finalist, Sedico in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, 2 goals to 1.

Fresh Angle International, can report that the final, which held Sunday August 17 at the Nana Model College football pitch, Warri, was graced by the Uwangue of Warri, Chief Gabriel Awala and watched by thousands of spectators.

Bateren Community, defeated Orugbo Community 3: 1, to emerge third in the classification match played earlier at the same venue, as against the initial arrangement fixed for Saturday August 16 at Ubeji.

While the winner, Okah Community, went home with the coveted trophy and prize money of One Million, Five hundred thousand naira (N1,500,000.00) Sedico and Bateren Communities, received One million naira (N1,000,000.00) and Five hundred thousand naira (N500,000.00) respectively, for emerging second and third positions in the keenly contested tournament.

Nzube David Ameachi of Okah Community, was crowned best player of the tournament, with a cash gift of One hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00) and Moses Igwe of Mbaise Community, went home with Fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00) after scoring six goals, to emerge highest goal scorer in the competition.

Adjetey Samuel, won the best goal keeper award, going home with Fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00) while Osagu Victor Orumwense Ndala, emerged the best coach, with a cash gift of Fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00).

Organizer of the Olu of Warri Community Peace Cup, Toritseju Samuel Igbiaye, told This Soaring International Tabloid that 10 players were scouted from the different teams that participated in the competition, with the hope of securing contract with professional football clubs within and outside Nigeria.
