Renowned philanthropist and Sole Representative of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, to Office of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Shola Mese, has tasked the leadership of Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths, UIY, on the imperatives of having an administrative office and opening official account for the association.

According to Dr. Mese, a functional administrative office and account for the association, would go a long way in attracting meaningful collaboration from well-meaning Itsekiris and relevant institutions.

Fresh Angle International, can report that the Warri Monarch ‘s Aide, gave the advice in Warri, Thursday September 4, when he hosted members of the executive of UIY.

Whilst pledging financial support to the UIY leadership, the famous Security Consultant, stated: “We have a lot of work to do and I believe this is the pressure group, that would relieve Baba (The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III) of pressure.

“We, the elders, have disappointed the upcoming youths, however, it is not too late. Let’s forget about the past and find a way to move forward. If you are able to bring up vibrant youths, then you are sure that when you are departing from the world, you will be at peace, because you left vibrant youths on ground.

But if you don’t lay that good foundation as a leader or an elder, you will regret it, even your grave will be crying. If you don’t take care of the youths well enough, then they can not be leaders you want them to be tomorrow.

“Whatever I can do to make this association successful, I will not hesitate to do it. Anything that concerns Baba, concerns me.”

Speaker earlier, President of Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths, UIY, Joseph Okotie, explained that the decision to parley Dr. Mese, was to leverage on his contacts, to advance the course of Itsekiri youths and tackle some pressing issues affecting Warri kingdom and the Presidential Amnesty Programme, particularly as it affects Itsekiri students.

He added: “From time-to-time, we will be calling on you (Dr. Mese) there is no other group, we are the ones Baba (The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III) gave the mandate. The former INYC, is now UIY.”
