Just In: Delta Government shuts down three schools

Delta State Government, has announced the closure of three private schools in Oshimili South Local Government Area of the state, saying the decision was taken in-line with previous directives and warnings to all private schools to regularize their operations with the Ministry of Primary Education.

Fresh Angle International, can report that the closure was contained in a government special announcement released by the Delta State Ministry of Information Friday September 5.

The announcement, which was credited to the Director of Public Communication/ Functioning Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Information, Harold Ojji, stated thus: “It is hereby announced for the information of the public, particularly Deltans and operators of private schools in Delta State, that the Delta State Government has closed down three private schools and revoked the operational licenses of three other schools, all in Oshimili South Local Government Area of the state.

“This decision was taken in-line with previous directives and warnings to all private schools to regularize their operations with the Ministry of Primary Education.

“The schools closed down are: PRIME SEED OF ABRAHAM SCHOOL; MATER CHRISTI GROUP OF SCHOOLS and SHEKINAH THE KING NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL, all in Okwe, Oshimili South Local Government Area. 

“Those whose operational licenses were withdrawn are: ALL TO JESUS NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL, ODUKE-OKWE; ST. HELEN FOUNTAIN OF ROSES SCHOOL, OKWE, and WINNERS VINEYARD MONTESSORI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, OKWE-ASABA.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, ALL AFFECTED SCHOOLS WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THEY REGULARIZE THEIR OPERATIONS WITH THE MINISTRY OF PRIMARY EDUCATION.”
