The pre-registration statistics released Monday September 29, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has revealed that Delta State, recorded 117,922 registrants, making up a paltry 1.89%, out of the 6,232,673 online pre-registrants computed by INEC between September 22 and 28.
The report obtained by Fresh Angle International from the verified X handle of INEC, showed that Borno State, tops the online pre-registrants for the period under review with 682,805 (10.96%) while Osun State, recorded the second highest online pre-registrants with 599,363 (9.62%) and Lagos State emerging the third highest in online re-registrants of the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, with 555,442 (8.91%).
According to the Commission, 3,250,338 (52.15%) females, successfully completed their online registration, leaving the remaining 2,982,335 (47.85%) for their male counterparts.
INEC further stated that youths between 18-34 years, were 4,230,715, students; 1,565,824 and People living With Disabilities, PWDs, 137,865 in the total 6,232,673 online pre-registrants.
The report by the electoral body, noted: “Registration is suspended in Anambra state until after the Governorship election on the 8th November 2025 in-line with section in 9 (6) in the Electoral Act 2022.”
