Warri: Awani moves against ethnic conflict, parleys monarchs, families of late Jerry, Dele

Businessman and politician, Barr. Esimaje Vincent Awani, on Friday October 3, reportedly began strategic moves to douse ethnic tension in Warri, with visits to Owhotemu II, the Orosuen of Okere - Urhobo Kingdom, Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogheneochuko Morris Eyekpimi Egbobonyen and the Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, His Royal Majesty, Kingsley Emakpo Orereh, Igbi II.                                          

ENN Media, reports that Barr. Awani's peace - building visits/ assuaging of feelings of those affected by the death of Jerry Aduara and Dele Ogunbayo, saw him appealing to the Orosuen of Okere - Urhobo Monarch, to do everything within his powers to prevent escalation of the recent ethnic tension in Warri South Local Government Area.                        

The Orosuen of Okere - Urhobo Kingdom, Warri, reportedly condemned the killing of Jerry Aduara and called on security agencies to ensure justice is served quickly.                                      

According to ENN Media, the monarch, stated: " True dialogue, only thrives where fairness, truth and justice are allowed to reign."                            

At the palace of the Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, the Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom, Warri, Kingsley Emakpo Orereh, Igbi II and Esimaje Awani, a legal practitioner, reportedly spoke in one voice, admonishing people of Warri to live as brothers and sisters, celebrating together and rebuild the bonds of unity that once defined the oil city of Warri.                

Awani, who also addressed youths of Agbassa community, urged them to maintain calm and embrace unity.                                      Whilst he reportedly visited the family of late Jerry Aduara on same day, Barr. Awani told Fresh Angle International that he eventually saw the mother of late Dele Ogunbayo at Ekurede Urhobo Sunday October 5, where he condoled with the family.                                  

" Humanity, was never created to live apart. The hand, may differ from the leg, but both serve the same body. When Warri hurts, we all hurt, when Warri heals, we all rejoice", Barr. Awani, reportedly stated Friday October 3, during his visit to Agbassa community.
