Mogborukor rejoices as Laju Dennis Emerges Treasurer, MWUN, Delta Ports

Comrade Laju Dennis, has emerged the new Treasurer of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria, MWUN, Dockworkers Branch of Delta Ports, Warri.

Fresh Angle International, understands that Comr. Laju Dennis emerged in an election held Monday December 8 at Julius Berger Terminal, Warri Port and was subsequently sworn in, alongside other members of the executive of MWUN, Dockworkers Branch of Delta Ports, Warri.

An elated First Vice President of the Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, Louis Timeyin Mogborukor, while reacting to the development in an exclusive telephone chat with This Newspaper, described Comr. Laju Dennis’ victory as well-deserved, saying it reflects the confidence reposed in him by union members, “based on his dedication, integrity, and commitment to workers’ welfare.”

Mogborukor, who is also the Youth Chairman of Ode-Ugborodo Community in Warri South-West Local Government Area, applauded the transparent process that led to the emergence of the new executive of MWUN, Dockworkers Branch of Delta Ports, Warri.

While expressing optimism that Laju Dennis would contribute positively to the growth and stability of the union, Mogborukor, opined that the Comr. Laju Dennis’ attainment, “is not just a personal milestone, but a source of pride to the Itsekiri nation as well as the wider maritime community in the Niger Delta”.

He charged Comr. Laju Dennis to remain focused, transparent, and people-oriented in the discharge of his responsibilities, reaffirming INYC’s support for youths and professionals, who continue to make meaningful contributions to organized labour and national development.
