Gas pipeline, belonging to NNPCL/ NGC, has allegedly exploded at the back of Ijaghala Community, Ugborodo in Warri South - West Local Government Area of Delta State.
A competent leader in Ijaghala Community, who preferred anonymity, told Fresh Angle International that the explosion occurred at about 6.15pm Wednesday December 10.
According to the community leader, the explosion was as a result of pressure release from gas manifold at Okigbe. The manifold in Okigbe, connects Chevron, SHELL and NGC gas line.
The people in the fish camp very close to the gas explosion as sighted in a video showing the explosion, were said to be taking refuge at Ijaghala community as at this morning, Thursday December 11, even as there was no report of human casualties as at press time.
