Vocal female group, Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative, has defended its position that Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL, should only negotiate with The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, saying “Ugborodo is not the only host community to Chevron Nigeria Limited.”
President of Voice of Warri Kingdom Women Initiative, Mrs. Vivian Mene, in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Friday December 19, said all Itsekiris have right to benefit from Chevron Nigeria Limited.
Mrs. Mene, who listed Abiteye, Otunana, Makaraba, Dibi, Obuekeba, Beresibi and Ugborodo as locations of Chevron swamp operations in Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas, insisted: “Warri kingdom demand fair sharing AND it is Only Ogiame Atuwase III That Can Fix It For Us.”
