Align With Wike as your Leader, Ohanaeze advises Fubara

Apex Igbo Socio-Cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has advised Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, to reorient his political strategy and align himself behind Nyesom Wike.

The zenith Igbo organization, which handed down the advice in an electronic statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Tuesday January 6, asserted that it was incumbent to state that Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, stands as the unequivocal and irrefutable political leader of the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.

In the statement signed by Deputy President-General and National Spokesman, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Chief Chinenyeze Ohia, respectively, Ohanaeze, noted that the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State, is a vital and inclusive political alliance, transcending party lines, aimed explicitly at bolstering support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The statement noted inter-alia: “Ohanaeze Ndigbo asserts that President Tinubu, informed by a robust repository of verified records and historical precedents within Rivers State, will undoubtedly prefer Nyesom Wike as the campaign leader over Governor Fubara in any future endeavors. This preference is rooted in Wike's unparalleled grassroots political acumen, his steadfast and unrelenting support for President Tinubu, and his profound understanding of the political landscape of Rivers State.

“Indeed, it is crucial to recognize that President Tinubu cannot overlook the significant contributions made by Nyesom Wike, which were instrumental in securing victory during the 2023 election in Rivers State. The expectation that President Tinubu would entrust his political future to any inexperienced and relative neophytes, as is the case with Governor Fubara, is both imprudent and unlikely.

“The precedence indicates that FCT Minister Wike is the only credible candidate suited to navigate the political ramifications that lie ahead, particularly in the face of a potential resurgence of formidable opposition as we approach the 2027 electoral cycle.

“It is vital that this reality resonates amongst all political stakeholders within Rivers State. Nyesom Wike emerges as an indispensable leader whose influence and capabilities can neither be dismissed nor ignored. Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls upon Governor Fubara to reorient his political strategy, aligning himself behind Wike, thereby mobilizing efforts toward ensuring President Tinubu's resounding victory in 2027.

“The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo wholeheartedly supports the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, in his earnest endeavor to harmonize all stakeholders within Rivers State, irrespective of political affiliations.
