Delta state APC chieftain, and pioneer Senatorial candidate of the party in the 2015 elections, Prince Yemi Emiko, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevbori, for what he describes as the guv's giant strides in the state, within such a short time.

Prince Emiko, who was a prominent member of the APC presidential election committee in both the 2019 and 2023 general elections, declared that Oborevbori has demonstrated an uncanny, and very deep knowledge of the needs of the people, based on his personal experiences over the years, from interaction with the people, and a grassroots involvement in their lives, showing up where it matters the most.

He issued the statement Monday evening, from his country home in Warri, after witnessing the sod turning ceremony of yet another fly-over bridge project, in the mostly chaotic Otovwodo junction in central he Ughelli axis, a busy intersection leading to Asaba, Warri, Bayelsa, Port Harcourt, Owerri and beyond.

The eminent party chieftain noted that guv Oborevwori operated like a skilled mechanic, diagonizing the faults, the challenges, and the defects,  and then Proffering solutions that clobber away at these challenges, in a way that confound even his critics.

Emiko, a distinguished prince of Warri kingdom, insists that he does not hail people lightly, but that he had to make an exception to come out and praise Oborevwori's performance so far, enjoining the guv to press on with his strong 'can-do' spirit, and to keep the oil of efficiency burning.

"We shall play the electioneering politics when the time comes. But your work will speak for you; the people will speak out loudly with their votes, and delta state will be a better place for us all," he said.
