Quake in Itsekiri Nation as Police invites Emami, Eyewuoma, Ereyitomi, Daje for ‘interview’

The fresh crisis in Itsekiri Nation, as a result of the gruesome murder of Emiko Onuwaje on December 20, 2025, appears to have taken a worrying dimension, with the invitation of Chief Ayirimi Emami, Ojoye Oma Eyewuoma, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Chief Eugene Ikomi, Chief John Daje and 13 others to appear for ‘interview’ with the Assistant Inspector- General of Police, Zone '5' Headquarters, Benin City, on Wednesday January 14, 2026.

Fresh Angle International, can authoritatively report that others invited for interrogation are; Sheriff Erewa, Jonathan Omatseye, Bubemi Kuku, Dere Touyo, Toju Shaba, Humphry lyonsi, Ogbe Kuku, Ernest Makun, Elvis Iyonsi, Harriman Madamedon, Kelvin Makun (Kimini), Jolomi Eyinoloma and Weyemi Mawe.

In an invite titled, ‘Re: A Case Of Conspiracy, Arson, Inciting Communal War And Conduct Likely To Cause Breach Of Peace’, which was dated January 12, 2026 and addressed to “Chief Ayirimi Emami, the Ologbosere of Warri”, the Police requested Chief Emami, to come along with Hon. (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone '5' Headquarters, Benin City, AIG Salman Dogo Garba, asked Chief Emami and Hon. (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi to appear for questioning 1000hrs on the appointed date.

 

 

 

In the same vein, AIG Salman Dogo Garba, invited Chief Oma Eyewuoma and Chief Eugene Ikomi for ‘interview’ Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 1000hrs, over ‘Re: A Case Of Threat To Life And Conduct Likely To Cause Breach Of Peace.’

One of the newly installed Chiefs in Warri Kingdom, Chief John Daje (Okpeyor) has also been invited for interrogation, consequent upon ‘Re: A Case Of Conspiracy, Murder, Arson And Inciting Communal War.’

 

 

Chief Daje, whose appointment with the Police, was booked for Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 1100hrs, was “requested to come along with the following persons: Sheriff Erewa, Jonathan Omatseye, Bubemi Kuku, Dere Touyo, Toju Shaba, Humphry lyonsi. Ogbe Kuku, Ernest Makun, Elvis Iyonsi, Harriman Madamedon, Kelvin Makun (Kimini), Jolomi Eyinoloma, Weyemi Mawe.”
