Exactly sixteen days after announcing dissolution of all revenue committees for 2025, authorities of Warri South Local Government Council, have given potential revenue agents one week to reapply for consideration and subsequent engagement.
Recall that the Council had on Monday January 5, dissolved all revenue committees for 2025 and urged members of the dissolved committees to hand over relevant Council documents in their possession to the Revenue Unit of the Local Government Council.
The Council authorities, subsequently advised residents of Warri South Local Government Area, not to honour demand notices from the disbanded revenue agents, until the Council issues further directive.
Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Emmanuel Nunu, in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Wednesday January 21, noted that interested revenue agents, have from Thursday January 22 to Friday January 30, to apply for consideration.
Whilst noting that all applications should be routed through Office of the Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Nunu, disclosed that the Council has put machineries in place to ensure that residents and business owners in Warri South Local Government Area, do not suffer multiple levies in the year 2026.
