Complaints are mounting in GRA Ward, Warri South Local Government Area, following moves by PDP decampees, led by two key leaders (names withheld) to allegedly hijack leadership of the ward and install an appointee of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the Ward Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC.
Though details of the mutterings, were still sketchy as at the time of this report, it was gathered that the two former PDP leaders, who are now members of the APC, are bent on taking over the party structure, without considering the interest of foundation members of the party in the ward.
One of the foundation APC members, who does not want his name in print, called on Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, to call the former PDP leaders to order.
According to the founding APC member, the new APC members already have two Councillors, Supervisors, Executive Assistants to the Governor and other appointees, hence it would be unfair to dislodge the old APC members and take over the party structure in GRA ward.
