Comrade Temi Jemide, has been reelected President of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS in a rescheduled poll organised by the BOT and stakeholders of the association.
Our Principal Correspondent, reports that the election, held Saturday, February 21, at the NAIS secretariat in Warri, Delta State, with accredited students cum delegates, casting their votes.
Comrade Jemide, a 500 Level Law student of Novena University, Ogume, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, will lead Itsekiri students in tertiary institutions for the next one year, following her emergence as President in the election monitored by critical stakeholders, including the Chairman, Board of Trustees/National Adviser of NAIS, Sir Amorighoye Sunny Mene.

Comrade Jemide polled 34 votes to defeat her closest rival, Ometan Ortsegbubemi Joseph, who garnered 9 votes , out of a total of 43 valid votes cast during the election.
The positions of President and Secretary - General were the only offices contested for, while elections for the remaining nine positions were returned unopposed.
The reconstituted Chairman of the 2026 NAIS Electoral Committee, Comrade Atsemude Diden Henry, on behalf of the members of the Eleco, including Atirene Eyituoyo Jennifer (Secretary), Eweyeju Godswill, and Amaye Kuro Jonah, congratulated the newly elected President and commended the delegates for their maturity during and after the process.
