The Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Warri North Local Government Area, Mr Victor Dudu, has tasked other members of his executive and exco members of the different wards in the local government area, to be steadfast in upholding the principles of democracy and the rule of law, as enshrined in APC constitution.
Our Warri North Correspondent, reports that Mr. Dudu, gave the charge Thursday March 12 at Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, while swearing in other members of his executive and ward excos.
Mr. Dudu, noted that the inauguration was important, because the local government and ward executives, are key pillars of the party at the grassroots.
“Democracy will not thrive in any state, if the grassroots people are not given a sense of belonging and there is no political participation at the grassroots”, he stated.
A leader of the party in Warri North Local Government Area, Barrister Wilson Alasha, who spoke during the ceremony, charged members of the excos, to be up and doing and ensure they deliver in their units as well as communities.
Barr. Alasha, said the excos should follow the lines of building public trust and confidence among the people.
Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ashima, charged the new party leaders, to see their victory and swearing-in as opportunity to promote the message of Renewed Hope and MORE Agenda to the people.
The Council Boss, was represented by Secretary to Warri North Local Government, Mr. Felix Adanse.
The Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics in the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Nicholas Efele, also urged the party leaders to work harder, so as to ensure victory of all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
Whilst appreciating the party for the opportunity given them to serve, the Ward I Chairman of APC in Warri North, Mr. Omagbemi Jonathan Ajofotan, assured party leaders that they will not fail to deliver for the party and work in-line with the party’s constitution.
