Opuoru hits Obire : Stop blackmailing me, you're not from Warri South

Former member of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. ( Chief ) Matthew Poko Opuoru, has lashed out at the member representing Warri South Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Benson Obire, saying Chief Obire should stop blackmailing him.

Hon. Opuoru, who stated that Chief Obire is not from Warri South Local Government Area, said instead of blackmailing him, Chief Obire should be ready to face him in the forthcoming All Progressives Congress, APC primaries, to determine who gets the party's ticket to run for the Warri South Constituency II seat in the 2027 polls.

Fresh Angle International, can report that Hon. Opuoru, made the declaration in Warri, Delta State, Tuesday March 31, shortly after receiving award of Excellence from Ukpokiti Community in Warri South Local Government Area.

Whist describing the leader of Warri Urhobos in APC, Prof. Israel Abido as a man of integrity, the former lawmaker, who's a frontrunner for the Warri South Constituency II APC ticket in the forthcoming party primary, traced his biological roots to Okpe Local Government Area, Okere ( Itsekiri) , Okere - Urhobo and Agbarha in  Warri South Local Government Area.

He averred: " Anyone who wants to contest against me, should show his score card. 

" I presented chairs to a lot of schools in Warri South Constituency II and paid people monthly stipends.

" You don't drag a monarch into politics, it's an insult to the monarch. From now on, everybody go answer his papa name. Let me thank Prof. Abido, Ejiro Okumagba and others for their support."

Spokesperson of the riverine Ukpokiti Community, Mr. Adolor Ideh, who addressed the gathering, revealed the vital role Hon. Opuoru played towards the commencement of Ukpokiti bridge.

He said Hon. Opuoru, had been working behind the scene for the development of the community, just as Prof. Abido noted that the Ukpokiti bridge is coming to realisation.

The Arewa Community in Warri as well as prominent community and political figures, attended the ceremony, graced by a large crowd.
