The Executive Director Planning, Research and Statistics, DESOPADEC, Pst. Efele Eyewuoma Nicholas on Wednesday April 1, played host to Women Leaders in Politics from Warri North Local Government Area and the Executive Members of the National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS at his office in DESOPADEC headquarters, Warri.
Addressing the Women leaders in Politics from Warri North, Pst. Efele appreciated them for coming to identify with his person and office and admonished them to know that those who indulge in politics must have the virtue of patience if they want to reap the benefits of going into politics.
Speaking further, Pst. Efele narrated the experiences of certain individuals whose virtue of patience resulted in the gains and offices they later enjoyed after many years of being in politics.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Women, Ugedi Ebi had said as Women leaders, their visit was to introduce themselves to Pst. Efele and to explore the possibility of benefiting and Keying into the empowerment programmes of the Commission while thanking Pst. Efele for his warm reception towards them, promising that they were ever ready to render their services as women leaders for their political party.
In another development, Pst. Efele hosted the Executive Members of the National Association of Itsekiri Students warmly where he promised to do whatever he could to support them after applauding their plans to organize a conference for Itsekiri Students and youths on a later date with the title, "Think the Globe."
Earlier, the President of the National Association of Itsekiri Students, Jemide Eyitemi had thanked Pst. Efele for his wonderful effort in the provision of a functional office for the Association. But she nevertheless, said there was need for an upgrade of their office so as to create a conducive environment for their operations.
Furthermore, Eyitemi said they will also need a Generating set, Marker Board, Rug for their office and the wherewithal to embark on the visitation of their various chapters across the country.
